Background:Born in Detroit to a former Governor, CEO and presidential candidate, Mitt Romney grew up in a life many can only imagine. He progressed through school and co-founded a private equity firm after working in the consulting world. Afterwards, Romney became the CEO of the faltering 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics, quickly turning the games around. His next step was Governor of Massachusetts.

Abortion:Romney began a pro-choice but changed his stance in 2002 and even vetoed a bill as Governor on pro-life grounds.
Budget/Spending:Romney believes the first step to recovery is to get America’s fiscal house in order. He wants to cut federal spending and bring much-needed reform to entitlement programs. He proposes doing so by balancing the budget, reducing the size of government and returning power to the states.
Economy/Jobs:Romney knows how jobs are created, doing so in the private sector for decades. His first day in office will have him delivering five proposals to Congress to jumpstart the economy in addition to undoing President Obama’s proposals.
Energy:Romney is pushing for an energy policy reinforced by significant regulatory reform, increased domestic production, and funding of basic research.
Foreign Policy:Romney believes America needs a strong military, dynamic diplomacy and steadfast allies. He says that China is emerging, Russia is resurgent, and radical jihadists seek our destruction, and a strong leader is needed to address these problems.
Guns:Romney supports the 2nd Amendment and the assault weapon ban.
Health Care:Romney says his first job would be repealing Obamacare and replacing it with market-based reforms that empower states and individuals. As Governor, he passed the first state health care reform that Obama claims was his model for Obamacare.
Immigration:Romney favors increased legal immigration but opposes illegal immigration. He is against amnesty and sanctuary cities.
Social Security:Romney believes in saving Social Security but understands they need reforming to be there for the next generation without touching the benefits of those currently on the system.
Taxes:Romney will push for a fundamental redesign of the tax system and peruse a conservative overhaul that applies lower and flatter rates to a broader tax base.
